On March 14-15, 2024, attorney Sara Sorenson attended the American Bar Association/ Institute for Professionals in Taxation (ABA/IPT) Advanced Property Tax Seminar in New Orleans, LA. The seminar, held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, covered multiple topics regarding property tax including legal issues like collateral estoppel, exemptions, and property tax issued under the 5th and 14th Amendments, as well as hot topics like the impact of remote working on real estate values and adaptive reuse of office as future residential developments.
